Job Title: Senior Landscape Engineer
Location: Red Sea – Umluj
Role Purpose:
Landscape engineers are responsible for designing and overseeing the development of functional, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally conscious outdoor spaces, such as parks, gardens, and commercial properties. They work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and sustainable design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive design plans for various outdoor spaces, including public parks, commercial properties, and private residences.
- Ensure design proposals adhere to relevant land use and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgetary constraints, and incorporate them into the design.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing structures, terrain, and natural features that must be accommodated in the design.
- Create detailed design proposals, including reports, cost estimates, illustrations, and models, and present them to clients for approval.
- Oversee the implementation of approved design plans, visiting the site regularly to ensure construction adheres to the specified design.
- Consider factors such as drainage, functionality, and environmental impact when designing outdoor spaces.
- Revise design plans as necessary during the planning and construction phases to meet client requirements and address any unforeseen issues.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including project managers, construction supervisors, and subcontractors, to ensure the successful completion of each project.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape design and engineering.
Necessary Knowledge and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in landscape design, engineering, or construction.
- Proven track record of successfully completing landscape projects.
- Expertise in landscape design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
- Understanding of drainage systems, grading, and stormwater management.
- Familiarity with building codes and permitting processes.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Landscape Architect (L.A.) certification (preferred).
- Thorough understanding of landscape design principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Knowledge of local zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
