The Company
Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key mining client are working together to source an experienced LT Planning Engineer for their team in Saudi.
The Responsibilities
Mine Planning & Design: Develop life-of-mine (LOM) plans, strategic mine schedules, and underground layouts in alignment with company goals.
Economic Optimization: Conduct financial and technical evaluations of different mining scenarios, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable resource extraction.
Reserves & Resources Estimation: Work closely with geologists to incorporate resource models and ensure accurate ore reserve estimates.
Technology & Software: Utilize mine planning software for modeling and scheduling.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate long-term operational and environmental risks through effective planning and scenario analysis.
The Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 4+ years in mine planning, with experience inunderground operations preferred.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in mine planning software
- Strong understanding of geological modeling, geotechnical considerations, and scheduling methodologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
