Qiddiya Investment Company is on the hunt for a talented and experienced Manager – Permitting to join our fast-growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the permitting processes necessary for our revolutionary development projects. Your expertise will ensure compliance with local, regional, and national regulations while facilitating the timely approval of permissions needed for construction and land use.
Your contributions will directly influence the success of various projects within Qiddiya, ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and maintain active relationships with regulatory bodies to navigate the complexities of permitting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the permitting process for various projects within Qiddiya Investment Company
- Prepare and submit permits for construction and land use, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national laws and regulations
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, conducting meetings and providing required documentation
- Monitor the progress and status of all permit applications, addressing any issues or delays as they arise
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for permit applications and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines
- Maintain comprehensive records of all permitting activities, including correspondence, application documents, and approvals
- Conduct research on zoning regulations, building codes, and environmental laws to ensure informed decision-making during the permitting process
- Advocate for project approvals by effectively communicating project benefits and addressing community and regulatory concerns
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 -9 years of relevant experience in permitting, land use planning, regulatory affairs or related fields, particularly in large-scale development projects
- A demonstrated track record of obtaining permits for construction and land use projects
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of local, regional, and national zoning regulations and permitting processes
- Proficient in using GIS tools and other relevant software for land analysis and planning
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices is desirable
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
