Job Specific Accountabilities:
Project Design and Planning
- Create detailed designs and blueprints for construction projects to ensure that all technical specifications, client requirements, and regulatory standards are thoroughly addressed in the project framework.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate environmental, logistical, and economic factors, ensuring the site is appropriate and conducive to the proposed project.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop project plans, integrating diverse perspectives to optimize designs and identify potential challenges early.
Construction coordination
- Coordinate construction activities to ensure alignment with project designs and safety requirements, facilitating seamless execution without direct supervision.
- Address on-site technical challenges as they arise, collaborating with contractors and teams to find practical and timely solutions.
- Ensure proper construction materials and methods are specified and utilized, prioritizing quality, durability, and adherence to project specifications.
- Schedule and facilitate regular inspections and quality checks to confirm that work meets project standards and timelines without directly overseeing teams.
Structural Analysis and Testing
- Perform calculations to determine load-bearing capacities and material requirements to guarantee that structures meet safety, stability, and functional standards.
- Assess potential risks, including environmental and safety hazards, enabling proactive planning and minimizing disruptions during project execution.
- Verify compliance with building codes and regulations, ensuring the project adheres to all legal and safety guidelines to avoid delays or penalties.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project records, including detailed drawings and periodic progress updates, to provide transparency and facilitate accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare reports and presentations for top management and stakeholders, offering clear insights into project status, challenges, and results for effective decision-making.
- Document and manage any design or construction changes, ensuring updates are communicated and implemented consistently across all teams.
- Finalize accurate as-built records for completed projects, providing essential documentation for maintenance, future development, or audits.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a relevant field.
