As a Contracts Director, you will oversee all contract-related activities, including negotiation, drafting, and management, while leading the contracts team to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, optimize operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and support project objectives in the facility management or construction industry.
Key Accountabilities
The position involves:
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with company policies and legal standards.
• Manage contract amendments, renewals, and closeouts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, timelines, and deliverables.
• Identify potential contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Resolve disputes and claims effectively and professionally.
• Lead and mentor the contracts team, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct training sessions to improve knowledge of contract law and industry standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contractual matters.
• Collaborate with project managers, legal advisors, and financial teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
• Maintain accurate records of all contracts and related documents.
• Provide periodic reports on contract performance and key metrics to senior management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field (Master s preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the facility management or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of local and international contract laws, especially in the GCC region.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard contract frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in contract management software and MS Office applications.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Integrity and commitment to ethical practices.
