Role Overview: The Structural Civil Engineer manages construction activities for our fast-food projects, focusing on maintaining structural integrity from design to completion. The engineer’s responsibilities include overseeing the development of building foundations and structures and ensuring they meet all technical and quality standards. The engineer will also analyze structural stress, coordinate with teams, and ensure projects stay within budget and schedule. This role requires preparing reports and reviewing designs to comply with engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Oversight: Lead the design of foundations, structures, and structural elements for buildings and bridges, ensuring compliance with technical and engineering standards.
- Structural Analysis: Perform stress analysis to ensure the safety and stability of structures.
- Construction Supervision: Oversee construction activities, ensuring all structures are built according to specifications.
- Quality Coordination: Collaborate with contractors and site engineers to maintain quality and ensure timely project execution.
- Technical Reporting: Generate detailed reports on project progress and challenges.
- Design Review: Ensure structural designs comply with engineering standards and codes.
- Specification Verification: Confirm the accuracy of structural calculations and technical specifications.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the engineering team, promoting professional development.
- Strategic Planning: Engage in strategic planning and resource management to meet departmental and project goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain communication with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Innovation and Development: Encourage the use of innovative technologies and methods to enhance departmental performance and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience, with a preference for those working on medium to large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and BIM is preferred.
- PMP certification is highly recommended.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in Arabic and English.
