We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cost Control and Budgeting Engineer with 3-5 years of experience immediately join in the construction and infrastructure industry. This role will be primarily responsible for the preparation of comprehensive project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets, monitoring project costs, and providing accurate financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis techniques, as well as experience in the construction or infrastructure sector. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential for effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Budget Preparation:
- Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project budgets, incorporating precise cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather accurate information for budget preparation.
- Analyze historical cost data and market trends to ensure realistic and achievable budget targets.
- Cost Monitoring and Control:
- Monitor and track project expenditures, comparing actual costs against budgeted amounts, and identifying any variances.
- Analyze cost data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, including cost forecasts, variance analyses, and cash flow projections.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that cost control measures are effectively implemented.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cost control, budgeting, and budget preparation within the construction or infrastructure industry.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in using cost control software, project management tools, and budgeting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience with earned value management (EVM) techniques.
