WSP is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead and manage contract-related activities in line with government procurement regulations in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring at least 18 years of professional experience in pre- and post-award contracts, team management, and resolving complex contractual issues. This role requires expertise in engineering/construction contracting practices and fluency in both Arabic and English.
Your new role, what’s involved?
- Contract Administration:
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including pre-qualification, subcontracts, bid evaluations, awards, and post-award contract administration.
- Ensure compliance with government contracts regulations and procurement standards in Saudi Arabia.
- Team Management:
- Oversee workload distribution among team members, ensuring efficient and effective performance.
- Provide guidance and training to the contracts team to maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
- Change Orders & Claims Management:
- Evaluate and manage change orders, variations, and claims, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
- Lead the settlement of disputes and claims with contractors and stakeholders.
- Procurement & Policy Compliance:
- Ensure alignment with government procurement regulations, policies, and commercial practices.
- Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial issues to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise:
- Apply technical and managerial knowledge of engineering/construction contracts to resolve challenges and drive successful outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective contract management procedures and policies.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with international and local partners to ensure smooth execution of contractual obligations.
- Maintain strong communication with government entities, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 18 years of experience in contracts management, including pre- and post-award processes.
- Direct experience in managing government contracts regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Proven expertise in handling pre-qualification, subcontracting, bid evaluation, awarding, change orders, and claims settlements.
- Strong knowledge of engineering/construction contracting practices, government procurement regulations, and commercial procedures.
- Familiarity with all types of contracts and agreements, including international standards.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
- At least 5 years of experience working with international companies, preferably in the engineering or construction sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams under pressure.
