The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy construction, with a focus on both solar and wind energy installations. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules, taking into account project timelines, resource availability, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.
- Manage contracts with construction contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during construction.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance standards and procedures to ensure that construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all construction personnel.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Identify potential risks and hazards associated with construction activities and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project performance.
- Monitor and assess project risks throughout the construction process, taking proactive measures to address emerging issues and prevent project delays or disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on renewable energy projects (solar and wind).
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices in the renewable energy industry.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate project teams.
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Professional certifications in construction management, project management, or related fields are desirable (e.g., PMP, LEED AP).
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and permitting requirements for solar and wind projects.
