WSP in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is seeking a dedicated Material Engineer to oversee the selection, testing, and quality control of materials used in infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and durability of project materials.
Your new role, what’s involved?
- Conduct material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to select appropriate materials for construction projects.
- Monitor material quality throughout the project lifecycle and address any deviations or issues.
- Develop material procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Implement quality control measures to verify the performance and durability of materials.
- Provide technical guidance on material selection, usage, and maintenance to project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of material testing results, inspections, and certifications.
- Stay updated on emerging materials technologies and industry best practices.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- Proven experience of 10+ years in material engineering for infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of material testing procedures and quality control standards.
- Familiarity with local regulations and specifications in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification in material testing or quality control is a plus.
