Rawafid Co. seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Structural Design Engineer who excels at multitasking.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of detailed design calculations based on field input data, sound assumptions and relevant codes and standards for a variety of structures including but not limited to: concrete water tanks, steel water tanks, steel structures, concrete structures, and other structures commonly found in wastewater treatment plants and utilities.
Preparation of detailed structural design reports in accordance with SGP standards and client requirements.
Preparation priced and un-priced of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the required rehabilitation, demolition, and re-building work as required for each structure.
Preparation of project structural specifications.
Guiding draftsman/modeler to produce the required tender drawings.
Preparation of detailed cost estimates.
Preparation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the field survey team and amending it when necessary to ensure the correct input data are received.
Verification of the reports and data collected from the field survey team.
Preparation of structural rehabilitation recommendations with supporting calculations/data in accordance with client’s requirements.
Create and review engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the accuracy and reliability of designs.
Correspond with client for site reports related matters.
Civil load/capacity calculations and subsequent selection /design of equipment’s and materials.
Knowledge & experience in AutoCAD and other software design
Familiar with all engineering standards and codes ACI /ASTM/ AWWA
Verify and write civil work specification requirement of the project with offered material.
Coordinate with other engineers, to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (A master’s is a plus)
10 Yrs of experience in design of civil structures and their assessment and rehabilitation work.
Certificates:
SAP2000
Autodesk REVIT
NBS Chorus
( Knowledge in: ASCE7-2016, AISC303, AISC360, AISC341, ACI546, ACI318, API650, SBC and other relevant codes. / Member of the Institute of Structural Engineering )
Skills:
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Strong working knowledge in MS Excel and MS Word.
Previous experience as a Structural Engineer or similar field.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships fast.
Hands on experience with the following software:
SAP2000
AutoCAD
Autodesk REVIT
RIB SpecLink
