Project Overview
Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.
Job Summary
In this role, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and interfaces for a project’s civil/structural/MEP aspects. You will lead design, development, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural/MEP components and processes. Your technical expertise will ensure the unique and complex requirements of a project’s civil/structural/MEP aspects are met.
Major Responsibilities
- Schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the civil/structural/MEP engineering work
- Participates in the design, development and modification of civil/structural/MEPcomponents and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs)
- Designs structures using knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering
- Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements, sketches ideas and possible solutions
- Analyzes and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques and/or difficult coordination requirements
- Assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs for proposals, forecasts, and change orders
- Completes Civil/Structural/MEP Interface documentation
- Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project Civil/Structural/MEP requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution
Education And Experience Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
