Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to oversee the quality standards and control procedures for the construction of a luxurious five-star hotel. The QA/QC Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that all construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of both construction and hospitality industry standards, as well as a proven track record in managing quality assurance processes on large-scale, high-end projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control Oversight:
- Develop and implement the overall QA/QC plan for the hotel construction project, ensuring compliance with international quality standards and client specifications.
- Perform quality control inspections across all stages of the construction process, including foundation, superstructure, interior finishing, and exterior facades.
- Ensure the correct application of materials and construction techniques, with an emphasis on sustainability and premium quality that aligns with the five-star hotel brand.
- Standards Compliance:
- Oversee and enforce adherence to local and international construction codes, building regulations, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure all work is completed in accordance with the architectural and engineering drawings.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of changes to relevant building codes and industry standards.
- Risk Management & Problem Resolution:
- Proactively identify potential quality risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate any delays or budget overruns.
- Troubleshoot quality-related issues and provide timely solutions to prevent project setbacks.
- Work with project managers to address and resolve any construction deficiencies or non-conformance issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, material testing results, and compliance certificates.
- Provide regular reports on the quality status of the project to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending improvements.
- Ensure proper documentation for all quality control tests and inspections are completed and archived for future reference.
- Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of QA/QC inspectors, ensuring that all team members adhere to best practices and follow procedures.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders (including contractors, architects, and subcontractors) to ensure smooth and efficient execution of the quality control process.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality issues, both internally and with external clients or regulatory bodies.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain a strong relationship with the hotel owner/developer and other stakeholders, ensuring that quality expectations are met at every stage of construction.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively to ensure the project meets the luxury standards expected for a five-star hotel.
- Training & Development:
- Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the construction industry, especially in high-end hospitality projects.
- Provide guidance and training to all involved personnel on quality assurance techniques and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC management, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role for large-scale construction projects, ideally in the hospitality sector (five-star hotel experience preferred).
- Must be registered with Saudi Engineering Council.
- Strong track record of successfully delivering high-end construction projects on time and within budget while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, ISO 9001) are a plus.
- Skills & Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and safety standards.
- Expertise in quality control methods, inspections, and testing protocols.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with project management software and quality assurance systems.

Location:
