Key Accountability Areas
Maintenance
Perform and monitoring overall maintenance and repair work on facility: MEP, Civil and other installed systems.
Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building.
management system and building repairs.
Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
Monitor and supervise HVAC preventive Maintenance contracts.
Respond to emergencies.
Maintain compliance to City ordinances and codes.
Reports
Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken.
Generate periodic reports accurately and efficiently for client reporting.
Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
Subcontract Management
Vendor Management.
Safety
Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.
Support
Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 5 – 7 years of work experience in similar duties
Education and Certifications
Mechanical, Electrical Engineer
- Knowledge of the engineering principles and practices of the facilities engineering service
- Knowledge of the standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to the construction, and maintenance of structures and facilities.
- Knowledge of modern material, methods, and techniques of design, construction, installation, and maintenance of structures and facilities.
- Knowledge of the development and use of contracts, estimates, and specifications.
- Knowledge of the elements of cost in construction and maintenance including the determination of unit cost records.
- Knowledge of building construction processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application.
- Knowledge of state, national, and local building codes and standards.
- Knowledge of inspection and investigation techniques.
- Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
- Ability to use computers and available software to maintain records and prepare technical reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to maintain favorable public relations.
- Skill in the use of engineering instruments and tools.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,
- circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited.
