Role Overview:
Civil Site Engineer to oversee the civil activities inside Substation construction or expansion projects. He /She shall have extensive experience substation projects, ensuring all activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
What will you do?
- On-Site Management: Supervise and manage all civil engineering activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Safety Protocols: Enforce and adhere to strict safety guidelines to protect personnel and equipment in energized environments.
- Construction Oversight: Oversee construction activities, including excavation, foundation work, and structural installations, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Coordination: Collaborate with electrical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure all work meets the highest standards of safety and reliability.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, safety assessments, and quality control documentation.
Experience and Education Required:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in HV substations, preferably with as a contractor
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- This position requires working on-site at the substation location.
- The role involves exposure to high-voltage equipment and requires adherence to strict safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of substation construction practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiar with project management and planning software and tools.
- Project travel as required
- Working in an office and on a construction site
