Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Engineer specializing in project execution for industrial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. This role demands a strong understanding of industrial construction processes, materials, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Execution and Management:
- Oversee and manage all civil works on-site, including foundation works, structural construction (Pre-Engineered Steel building (PEB) , Precast and concrete works), and finishing activities.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved designs, specifications, and schedules.
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with project managers, Construction managers, subcontractors, and other engineers to streamline workflows.
- Resolve technical and design issues in collaboration with Engineering, consultants and clients.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project updates and requirements.
Resource and Material Management:
- Plan and manage manpower, equipment, and material requirements to optimize resources.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials while verifying their compliance with specifications.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure adherence to project standards.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and maintain quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) documentation in coordination with the QA/QC department.
Project Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track project milestones and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, daily logs, and site documentation.
- Monitor & report the daily productivity for the self-performance and subcontractor resources.
- Identify potential delays or risks and propose corrective measures.
Safety and Risk Management:
- Enforce site safety protocols and ensure a hazard-free work environment in coordination with the HSE department.
- Attend safety drills and inspections to ensure compliance with industrial safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial project execution or a similar field.
- Certifications: PMP Training (certificate is a plus).
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of industrial construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Good knowledge in construction management tools (e.g., Navis, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Project).
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
